Day 43: Final Day of class (Monday)
Lesson Objectives
- Provide Presentations Score/Feedback
- Review main ideas through interactive speaking activities
- Provide feedback on units/materials
- Provide feedback on course/instructor through ICES
I. Review Speaking Activity (10 min)
For this part of the class, I will have you get into pairs to "compete" against other teams of two to see who can explain and guess the highest amount of cards. Each person will take a turn trying to explain a card they chose from the links below.
Steps:
1. Decide who will be PLAYER A and who will be PLAYER B and only open the link below that is provided for you. DON'T CHEAT AND OPEN THE OTHER PERSON'S LINK!
2. Carefully read the directions provided at the top.
3. Follow along as we do one practice round as a class.
4. Play until the teacher says stop!
5. Count your cards and share the total with the class.

III: Making Requests: Spoken and Written (30 min)
A) Brief lecture on use of grammar to be more formal. Look to the handout titled, MAKING REQUESTS. Then I will have you do an activity where you need to circulate the room to practice using the formal grammar in context: MAKING REQUESTS ACTIVITY
B) Written Requests. We will first look to the handout titled, EMAIL ETIQUETTE BASICS and go over the basics. Then I will have you practice by writing in pairs into this EMAIL ETIQUETTE GOOGLE DOC.
