Day 3: Diagnostic Exam
Aug 30th
Part I: Set Up of Diagnostic Exam
Explain directions and purpose of Diagnostic Exam and how it fits into our unit goals and objectives. I will provide two additional articles on different topics for students who would like to write their argumentative papers on another topic. For today, however, everyone must write on the topic that is provided by the department.
Part II: Administering the exam (50 min)
No use of cellphones, internet, or translators permitted during exam. Paper will be provided for note-taking. Once Completed, upload your document to Compass under Assignments and email it to me as a safeguard.
1) Open and save a word document to your desktop labeled, FirstnameLastname.
2) Read the article and prompt question.
3) Write until instructor indicates it is time to stop.
4) Upload document to Compass and email it to me at bdivine@illinois.edu
Part II: Confirmation
Once you have confirmed that your document is uploaded to Compass, you may be dismissed for the day. Please come up to my desk to check to make sure.
