• Review basic organizational structure of a summary critique
• Learn steps to compose a summary critique introduction and transitional thesis statement
• Recognize main ideas of research through group summary

[10-20 min] Part I: Review Research and Summarize in Groups 

Resume groups from last class and complete summary of your section. Be prepared to explain your section with the class.

[25 min] Part II: Language Overall Structure of Summary Critique 8:40-9:05
Now that we have a main idea of the study, we will  now look to a sample and discuss some main language features found in a critique. Open and  complete the SUMMARY CRITIQUE HANDOUT II parts II-parts VII.  (Do NOT let the students keep this document)

[5 min] Part III: Review Directions  9:15-9:20
Review Directions to Assignment and introduce Individual Critique Option.
